Hello Dancers and Families,

We’re excited that Irish Fest is almost here (yay!!). As we gear up for the big weekend, please ensure you have your costumes and everything you need. For details on costume requirements, show times, updates, and more, visit this link. This is where you will find the most up to date Irish Fest information. We will also distribute information packets and tickets at Lake Bluff Elementary School on Sunday, August 11th.

Spirit Week Theme Days:

  • Monday, 8/5: Wear your Milwaukee gear

  • Tuesday, 8/6: Dress like a dance teacher

  • Wednesday, 8/7: Wear pink

  • Thursday, 8/8: Irish Fest gear

  • Saturday, 8/10: Wear green

Thursday’s Performance:

We are partnering with CelticMKE on Thursday night (8/8) to promote Irish Fest with a performance at The Landing. Everyone is welcome to attend! We are inviting our Advanced Beginner / Intermediate, Pre-Champ/ Champ** and Adult dancers to perform. More details can be found here.

Irish Fest will be selling BOGO tickets at this event so it’s a great way to get discounted entry into the festival. The event is tons of fun and a great kick off to Irish Fest!

Reminder: our Advanced Beginner / Novice Irish Fest class will end at 5 PM to allow dancers time to get to the gig.

**Pre-champ / Champ Irish Fest dancers: if our week of rehearsals is going well we will move our final rehearsal to The Landing for extra performance practice!

Sunday’s Rehearsal + Potluck:

We’ll be holding a full studio rehearsal and potluck on Sunday, August 11th at Lake Bluff Elementary School’s gym. Parents are encouraged to hang out - this is a great opportunity to meet other dance families and for friends and family to get a sneak peek of the show if they can’t attend Irish Fest.

Please bring activities for your dancer to do while they are waiting to rehearse. Dancers who have a guardian present can enjoy the playground when we are not practicing their part! Sign up to bring something to the potluck here.

Tentative Schedule:

  • 1:00 PM - 1:15 PM: Check-in and get situated

  • 1:15 PM - 1:45 PM: Distribute tickets and discuss Irish Fest expectations (parents should attend if this is their first Irish Fest) - bring a foldable chair if you’d like to sit!

  • 1:45 PM - 3:00 PM: Run through numbers to address any issues (dancers can play or engage in activities when not dancing). Saturday dancers can leave or hang out after their numbers are run.

  • 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM: Dress rehearsal (run the show with costumes and props)

  • 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM: Review corrections and adjustments based on the dress rehearsal

Sunday will be the LAST practice before Irish Fest, so make sure to ask all your questions and ensure you have everything ready for the festival by Sunday.

Looking forward to an amazing Irish Fest!
