Family Day at CelticMKE

We will be doing a 15 minute show for Irish Family Day at CelticMKE. 

Admission to family day is $15 per person however, dancers, dance school instructors, and 1 parent per dancer will be able to get into the event for free!

school dancers: school / performance costumes, wigs, poodle socks

company dancers: yellow skirts, white t-shirt, black tights/ booty shorts

Event time: 11am - 2:30pm remember - it’s daylight savings time, we jump ahead 1 hour!

Dance School Lineup:

11AM - 11:20AM: GLENCASTLE IRISH DANCERS

11:40AM - 12PM: MCNAMARA/MCCARTHY ACADEMY OF IRISH DANCE

12:20PM - 12:40PM: BEGLAN ACADEMY OF IRISH DANCE

1PM - 1:20PM: CASHEL ACADEMY OF IRISH DANCE

1:40PM - 2PM: MILWAUKEE IRISH DANCE

Arrival Time: 1:15pm

Dancer Arrival:

• Irish Dancers should enter through the side door which is on the south side of the building facing St. Bernard’s. This is our handicap accessible entrance and has a ramp vs. our front entrance which has steps. It also leads right to the Dancer staging area. From there, follow the signs upstairs to the dancer staging area.
• 1 parent per dancer will be allowed in through the side door at no charge. Dance school instructors will also be allowed in through this door at no charge.
• Any additional family member(s)/guest(s) of Irish Dancers will need to enter through the front door off of Wauwatosa Avenue. Admission is $15/family, cash & credit card accepted.
• Please arrive 15-20 minutes before your performance and clear the designated staging area within 5 minutes after your performance.  This allows the next dance school to come in and prepare.     
  • Please keep your items together and organized, ready to change, grab, & go after your performance so the next dance school can come in.

   

• Please do not change in restrooms.  If you need to use a restroom, they're located on the main & lower terminals.  None are on the third floor.

• Due to all of our building being used, I do not have a set practice area set however if weather allows, you’re welcome to step outside in our back parking lot as desired.
• An instructor should give the stage manager or Sound tech, Rory Modlinski, the device you’ll be playing music from - ipod,  iphone, or Android preferred. Either one of them will be checking the dancer staging area to talk to you and grab your device.  They will also have nametags on.
• We will have a wireless microphone available for your emcee to use during your performance.

Our Celtic Cafe will be selling food (shepherd’s pie, baked potatoes, hot dogs, beverages etc.), cash and credit accepted.

Parking: attached is a parking map for the village of Wauwatosa, where CelticMKE is located. We have been asked NOT to park in our neighbor St. Bernard’s parking lot. Please plan accordingly. Forward this map onto your dancers, please! - check your email for this map
