· Entry deadline is Monday, October 2, 2023
· To encourage our college ceili teams, College Ceili Team fees are $20 per dancer only. The college ceili teams will be exempt from any additional fees, including the family access fee and school program fee.
· Age groups for the girls 4-hands will match the age groups for girls 8-hands: U8, U10, U12, U15, U18 and 18 & over.
· 4-hand figure will be Part B
· Men 20 & over and Ladies 22 & over dances will be Reel & Hornpipe
· The Adult Championship will be divided by age: U40, 40 & over.
· At the Mid-America Oireachtas in 2023, dancers entering Adult Championship and Masters Championship may choose Hornpipe (40 bars) or Treble Jig (48 bars), Reel (48 bars) for men, or choice of Reel (48 bars) or Slip Jig (40 bars) for women. The third round in the Adult Championship shall be a traditional set dance. The third round in the Masters Championship shall be a Set of Choice. If the IDTANA begins rotation of dances for Adults (and in future, Masters) at the NAIDC, IDTAMA will follow the rotation established for Adults/Masters at NAIDC.
· For Oireachtas 2023, Adult and Masters level dancers may be registered in their respective Championship at the Oireachtas per teacher’s discretion.
· Effective immediately through September 30, 2023, an adult (age 18 or over) competing in youth/& over categories who otherwise meets our regional definition of Adult dancer is permitted to move into the Adult category without observing a five year waiting period. This one-time transition to Adult will be documented via an Adult Status Form and kept on file with the region. This does not apply to dancers who meet the definition of Masters.
